The Walter PP was originally introduced in 1929 and is considered to be the first successful double action automatic pistol manufactured.

The PP stands for "Polizei Pistole" (Police Pistol) and during WW2 these were generally issued to German military police, high military officers, and other military personnel.

The Walther PP was chambered in .22, 6.35mm, 7.65mm (.32 ACP), and 9mm kurz (.380 ACP). The 7.65mm was the most popular, while the 6.35mm was the rarest.  This one is chambered in 7.65mm (32 ACP).

Though the design and functionality of this one is nearly identical to its WWII brethren, it was actually manufactured well after WWII (hence the "Made in W. Germany" stamp).  Please also note that I have altered the serial number in these pictures, it is a six digit serial number (Serial Number 3080XX)
